The Advisory Board recognizes training groups that demonstrate the capability to conduct Emergency Medical Responder courses and/or continuing education classes.
The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control has updated certification testing to meet the Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration National EMS Education Standard, 2009 Edition of Emergency Medical Responder. The program formerly known as First Responder is now Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).
